today
my mom is going to have her surgery.
originally, she was supposed to have just the surgery and no chemo, but now they want for her to have both surgery and chemo.
i’ve not been freaking out about it like i was when i first found out. freaking out won’t help anything, it’s all up to the doctors now. i think it’s really helped that i already had so much stuff scheduled...

i need a craft cart so effing bad. currently my craft related storage includes:
plastic bins filled with yarn, needles, and works in progress
spacebag filled with yarn that i don’t really want to use but keep forgetting to donate
a shelf devoted to pattern books and craft mags
a couple of reuseable shopping totes filled with yarn and works in progress
underbed storage containers that...
my mom and i haven’t been in contact for over a year, until today. we got together for a beer because… well… she has just been diagnosed with cancer. she has surgery next week, don’t know what stage it is until then.
thank goodness for alcohol.
